Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How does Sitefire generate websites so quickly?
Sitefire uses Google Gemini AI models coupled with specialized layout synthesis engines. The AI streams semantic HTML5 and styled CSS directly into your web preview in real time.
Q: Can I edit the HTML or CSS directly if I know how to code?
Yes! You can paste custom HTML, CSS, or embed snippets directly into the AI Chat widget, or
connect your favorite AI IDE (such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Windsurf) to Sitefire's hosted
MCP server (/mcp) using an API key from Account Settings
to inspect and update raw section HTML and CSS directly.
Q: What happens if the AI makes a design change I don't like?
Simply click the Undo button above the chat input box to revert unpublished draft changes, or click History at the top of the chat window to preview and Rollback to any earlier saved version snapshot.
Q: Can I connect my domain bought from GoDaddy / Namecheap?
Absolutely! See our Custom Domains Guide for step-by-step instructions on setting up your CNAME DNS records.
Q: Does Sitefire support multi-page websites?
Yes! You can ask the AI chat widget to add new pages (e.g. "Add an About Us page and link to it in the navbar"), and Sitefire will generate the new page and connect navigation links automatically.
Q: Are websites built on Sitefire mobile friendly?
Yes! All websites generated by Sitefire use responsive CSS design principles, ensuring your site looks great on smartphones, tablets, laptops, and desktop displays.
Troubleshooting Tips
Try being more specific! Instead of saying "Make it look better", specify: "Increase contrast, change header background to navy blue, and make call-to-action buttons larger."
DNS record updates can take between 5 to 30 minutes to propagate across global networks. If it takes longer, double check that your CNAME record points exactly to
sites.sitefire.app.
