Importing Existing Sites

Bring existing websites, HTML templates, or ZIP archives into Sitefire for AI editing.

Why Import a Site into Sitefire?

If you already have an existing HTML website or a design template you purchased, you don't need to rebuild it from scratch! Sitefire allows you to import existing site files so you can edit and manage them using our AI Chat widget.

Import Methods

1

ZIP Archive Upload

Upload a .zip file containing your site's index.html, CSS stylesheets, JavaScript files, and images.

2

Single HTML File Upload

Directly paste or upload an standalone .html file to instantly convert it into an editable Sitefire project.

3

URL Import (Scrape & Convert)

Enter an active public website URL. Sitefire's scraper will capture the DOM layout and assets, rebuilding it into a clean editable format.

How AI Processes Imported Sites

During the import phase, Sitefire parses your HTML structures, CSS rules, and assets, building a semantic map of your pages. Once imported, you can use prompts like:

brush Redesigning Imported Elements
Modernize the navigation header on this imported site to be sticky on scroll and match our brand colors.
